Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

In plain terms. VOUIP never stores your videos, and the passwords to your tube accounts never pass through it. The service handles your publishing settings and the texts you write yourself: titles, tags, descriptions. You upload to each platform yourself.

  1. Who is responsible for your data

    VOUIP is operated from Belgium, and its operator is the data controller for the processing described here. Write to support@vouip.com for any question about your data, including to exercise the rights listed below, or to be given the operator's full identification.

  2. What we collect

    • Your account: an email address and a password. The password is stored hashed and cannot be read by us.
    • What you type into the tool: titles, tags, descriptions, schedules, your per-platform settings, your time zone, and the usernames you choose to enter.
    • One marker per day you use the service. A counter, so we know whether the tool is actually being used during the beta. Not event-by-event tracking: we do not record which pages you open, which buttons you click, or how long you stay.
    • The technical minimum: ordinary server logs containing your IP address, an error report when something breaks, and, to stop anyone abusing the mail function, fingerprints of your email and IP address that cannot be reversed.
  3. What we never collect

    • No video files. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers. They stay on your computer; the tool stores a file name or a link, never the video itself.
    • Your platform passwords never pass through us. We never ask for the credentials to your tube accounts, and there is nowhere in the tool to enter them.
    • No advertising or audience trackers. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no profiling cookie, no social-network tag. We do not measure your behaviour.
    • Nothing you write is sent to an AI that writes for you. No title, tag or description of yours is ever sent to a language model, for any purpose, including training. One exception, and only if you ask for it: when you request your title in other languages, that title, and nothing else, is sent to a translation service.
  4. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

    PurposeData usedLegal basis (GDPR)
    Giving you access to your account Email, password (hashed) Performance of a contract
    Providing the service itself Titles, tags, descriptions, schedules, settings Performance of a contract
    Sending the emails the service cannot work without Your email address Performance of a contract
    Translating a title, when you ask for it The title concerned Performance of a contract
    Knowing whether the service is useful during the beta Daily activity marker Legitimate interest, using the least detailed measurement that answers it
    Fixing malfunctions and preventing abuse Error reports, logs, fingerprints Legitimate interest, keeping the service working and secure
    Answering your support requests Your email and what you write to us Performance of a contract

    Where we rely on a legitimate interest, it is this: we need to know whether the beta is being used at all, and whether the service is worth continuing to build. We answer that with a single marker per day of use, rather than with detailed usage analytics, because the cruder measurement answers the question just as well and tells us far less about you.

  5. Who else sees it

    We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Four companies are involved in running the service, each for one job, and this is the complete list.

    WhoWhat forWhere
    OVH Hosting the server the service runs on Switzerland
    Sentry Reporting technical errors so we can fix them. Receives the error and your IP address, deliberately not your titles, tags, descriptions or session European Union
    Mailgun Delivering the two emails we send: address verification and password reset. Opens and clicks are not tracked European Union
    Google Cloud Translation Translating a title, only when you ask. Receives that title and nothing else, not your description, your tags, your account or your identity Google infrastructure, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses

    The tube platforms are not on this list: they receive nothing about you, and nothing is ever published on your behalf.

    One thing we read ourselves: the tag words you type. Tags are kept in a shared vocabulary so the tool can suggest them back to you. A tag you create is not suggested to other creators — it stays yours, unless someone else types the same word on their own, at which point it becomes a common word for everyone. We do read that vocabulary, because it is curated by hand: that is how tags get grouped, corrected, and matched to each platform's own wording. Nothing else you write — titles, descriptions, schedules — is read this way. If a word is private to you, a character name or a brand, keep it out of the tag field.

    Each of these companies acts on our instructions, only to provide us with the service listed above. Some of them are established outside the European Economic Area. Wherever personal data leaves that area, we rely either on a decision of the European Commission recognising the destination country as providing adequate protection, or on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

    Payment, when the service becomes paid, will be handled by a specialised payment provider who will receive your billing details directly; VOUIP will never see or store your card number. This page will name that provider before any payment is taken.

  6. Where your data is stored

    On a server located in Switzerland. Switzerland is outside the European Union, but the European Commission has formally recognised it as providing an adequate level of data protection, so your data enjoys equivalent safeguards and no additional transfer mechanism is required. The only data that leaves it are the narrow flows listed above.

  7. The browser extension

    The extension is optional; the service works without it. It helps you fill in the upload form of the platform you are on, with the draft you prepared.

    • It keeps on your computer the pairing key you generate in your settings, and nothing else of note.
    • It sends us that key, to fetch your own drafts, and tells us when a draft was opened, published or failed, which is what feeds your publication history.
    • On the upload page, it reads the address of the tab so it knows which platform you are on, and the form fields so it can fill them. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history, or anything else on that page.
    • It never logs in for you, asks for your platform password, sends a video, or reads or reports anything about your accounts on those platforms.

    Outside of the drafts you ask it to fill in, the extension does not collect or report anything about how you use the platforms or the pages you visit.

  8. Cookies

    The application sets cookies for one purpose only: keeping you logged in. They are strictly necessary for the service to work, which is why you are not asked to consent to them. They are not used to follow you across other websites. There are no advertising, analytics or profiling cookies.

  9. How long we keep it

    • While your account is open: your account and your content are kept for as long as you use the service.
    • When you delete your account: a button in your settings deletes it yourself. The deletion is immediate and total, covering account, content, settings, history and login credentials. Nothing is kept in anonymised form. If you prefer, write to support@vouip.com and we will do it within one month at the latest.
    • The one exception, which we would rather state: the service is backed up so a breakdown does not lose your work. Backups are kept 30 days, and 90 days on a separate copy. A deleted account therefore still exists in backups made before the deletion, until they expire in turn. Backups are only ever opened to restore the service after an incident.
    • Logs, error reports and anti-abuse fingerprints: a few weeks at most, then automatic deletion.
    • Support correspondence: as long as needed to handle the request.
  10. How it is protected

    Access requires authentication, each account's data is separated from every other account's, passwords are stored hashed and cannot be read by us, and connections are encrypted.

    No system is immune. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform you directly where required.

  11. Your rights

    Under the GDPR you may ask us to:

    • give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
    • correct anything inaccurate;
    • delete your account and your data;
    • hand your data to you in a portable format;
    • restrict or object to a particular processing.

    Write to support@vouip.com. We will normally answer within one month. Where the GDPR allows it, that period can be extended by up to two further months; if that happens, we will tell you within the first month and explain why. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

  12. Age

    VOUIP is available only to people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.

  13. Changes to this policy

    This policy carries the date of its last revision at the top of the page. If we change how we handle your data, for instance a new purpose, a new recipient or a new category of data, we will tell you before the change takes effect, and previous versions remain available on request. Cosmetic corrections do not trigger a notification.

VOUIP

You prepare your video once, the tool pre-fills the title, tags and description on each tube. You stay in control: nothing goes out without your approval.
